What is Brain?

Brain hemisphere determines the way that Heidi thinks when creating your note or document, which can assist you in achieving an output that sounds just like you. Each option is great for different things, there is no one option better than the other so it’s helpful to experiment and see which mode suits the way you prefer your notes.

What do the different options mean?

Left brain: Fast and unimaginative. Can lack detail. Good for simple sessions.

Right brain: Thoughtful, but slow. Can infer meaning. Good for complex sessions.

Setting your Brain preference:

Set your global setting by navigating to Preferences > Defaults > Brain Hemisphere and choosing Left or Right. Your selection will be used for all notes and documents you create on Heidi.

Overriding your default Brain Hemisphere

You can override your Brain hemisphere preference within a session for a particular note or document by clicking on the brain icon, and selecting Left or Right. The note or document that you are currently on will be regenerated to use the selected brain hemisphere.

Brain hemisphere selection in a Heidi session

Toggle on “remember” in order to update your global setting and all future notes and documents will be created with the selected Brain mode.
