The Heidi app provides all the same powerful features as our mobile browser version, with an added benefit: Offline Mode. This exclusive feature is only available on the mobile app, not on the web/mobile browser, desktop app, or chrome extension. With Offline Mode, you can keep using Heidi on the go, even without an internet connection, so youâll always have access to the tools you need.

How do I download the Heidi app?
Getting started with our app is easy. You can download the app on your preferred mobile device by following the links below:

Once downloaded, log in with your existing account to access all your data and continue working seamlessly across your devices.
How do I create an account?
To create an account, simply open the Heidi app and tap on "Sign Up." You'll be prompted to enter your email address and create a password. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.
How can I reset my password?
If you've forgotten your password, tap on the "Forgot Password?" link on the login screen. Enter your registered email address, and we'll send you instructions on how to reset your password.
Will the screen stay on during recording?
We understand how important it is to have an uninterrupted recording experience. With our app, the screen will not fall 'asleep' while you are transcribing or dictating. This feature ensures that you can record audio without any interruptions, making your workflow even better.
What is offline mode?
Offline mode letâs you start and stop sessions without internet connection. Everything will be safely saved, and your notes will be generated as soon as youâre back online.
How does offline mode work?
You can start a new session (either in transcription or dictation mode) even when youâre offline. Your screen will display an âOffline Modeâ indicator, and your transcript will be securely saved. Once you're back online, your notes will be automatically generated.
Offline mode also works as a backup for unstable internet connections. If you lose connection during an online session, your work will still be saved locally and synced once the connection is restored.
How to Use Offline Mode
Turn Off Mobile Data and Wi-Fi
To start, disable both mobile data and Wi-Fi on your device. This step is essential to ensure that the app recognizes you're in offline mode.Create a New Session
Open the Heidi Health app.
Tap the three-line menu icon (â°) in the top left corner.
Select Create New Session from the menu options.
This new session will be labeled as Offline Mode.
Note: If you're using a pre-existing session, it may not function correctly in offline mode. Starting a new session ensures the app recognizes youâre recording offline.
Record Your Session
Begin recording as you would in online mode.
Offline sessions will not transcribe in real time; instead, transcription will occur once you are reconnected to the internet.
End Your Session
Once your session is complete, tap Stop to end recording.
At this stage, you may see an option to Resume the session if you want to add more details or continue recording.
Reconnect to the Internet
Enable your mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.
Youâll see a message saying, âYouâre back online; Heidi is now processing.â This means your recording is uploading and transcribing automatically.
The Notes tab will show a spinning icon, indicating that transcription is underway.
Review and Complete the Session
Once the transcription is complete, you can choose a template, add any final details, and save your session notes.
Additional Tips
Offline Mode is ideal for settings with limited connectivity.
Once back online, ensure youâre connected long enough for Heidi to fully process and save your recording.
Why do I get an error message when trying to resume an offline session?
You can only resume an offline session while still offline. If you have reconnected to the internet at any point, the session has to be resumed while online.
You can still manually edit the note by typing and changes will be synced when you are back online.
How do I sync my data across multiple devices?
To sync your data across multiple devices, make sure you're logged in with the same account on each device. The app will automatically synchronise your data, allowing you to access your information seamlessly from any device.
How do I update the app?
To ensure you have the latest features and security updates, keep your app updated. You can check for updates in the App Store or Google Play Store and update the app from there. If automatic updates are enabled on your device, the app will update automatically.
Which devices are supported?
The Heidi app is compatible with most iOS and Android devices, including smartphones and tablets. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest versions of these operating systems.
Can I use the mobile app for telehealth?
If youâre using Zoom or phone calls etc. for a telehealth consult, you would have to use the desktop app. The mobile app does not support this, yet!
Can I use headphones on mobile?
You can use headphone for the mobile app, only as a microphone for dictation or if the patient is in the room with you. If you wish to take a telehealth call, with the patient on the other side, our mobile app does not support this, the mobile app does not support the sound coming from the headphones - but our desktop app does!
How do I upgrade my subscription on the app?
You have to be on web or desktop app to be able to upgrade your subscription. Simply log in to your account through your web browser and follow the steps to upgrade there.
What should I do if the app crashes or freezes?
If youâre having any issues with the app, close the app completely and re-open it. If youâre still having issues get in touch with us through the help button in the side bar.
Can I create multiple offline sessions?
To have multiple offline sessions, continue working, and upload data later when reconnected to the internet, make sure all sessions are created in Offline Mode.
If a session is started in Online Mode and you lose connection, this is not the same as Offline Mode. In this instance, you must reconnect to the internet at the end of the session to save your data before starting another session.
