Layout of Heidi workspace
- Left Panel: Access templates, community resources, settings, and integrations.
- Middle Panel: Manage your sessions—view, search, and organise past, scheduled, and ongoing consultations.
- Right Panel: Create, edit, and finalise your notes.
Keys features of Heidi workspace
- Session Naming: Click at the top to name your session for easy reference.
- Customisation: Use voice styles and the left/right brain feature to tailor your notes.
- Transcript Window: Review what Heidi captures in real time.
- Context Section: Add extra details not spoken during the consultation.
- Ask Heidi Bar: Request clarifications or adjustments.
- Create Button: Finalise your session and generate a polished note
Generate your first note
Navigate Heidi with confidence.
Transcribe a session
- Press "Start transcribing" and you'll see a timer appear meaning Heidi has started transcribing
- Connect your microphone
- Tick the Patient Consent box
- Let Heidi transcribe in the background whilst you give your undivided attention to your patient
- To end a session, hit 'Stop transcribing’ in the top right hand corner
Turn your transcribe session into a note
- Once you’ve hit “Stop transcribing”, select the type of note you’d like Heidi to produce (eg. SOAP or H&P). Then let Heidi work its magic and produce the note in just a matter of seconds!
- You can then easily proof and edit your note from there.
💡 Tip for web browser users
- Check that the three audio bars (top right corner) are full to ensure your microphone is capturing sound

- Get the patient’s consent before you start transcribing and explain Heidi turns conversations into notes, not recordings, so you can focus on their care.
- Speak out loud, Heidi’s like a smart assistant but it's completely blind, it needs you to say everything you want documented
